Sitting on the site of the last Cherokee Nation council grounds, before the tribe’s removal along the tragic Trail of Tears, the park features replicas of a Cherokee farm and council house, exhibits about the tribe, a two-mile loop trail, and a limestone overlook tower. It lies approximately 24 miles east of downtown Chattanooga, just north of the Georgia state line.
Open Mar - Nov: daily 8:00 a.m. - sunset; Dec - Feb: daily 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
